Vortex EBR-4 MRAD

Drawn to scale from Vortex’s own specification sheet, and checked mark by mark by a person. This is the same geometry Harson Ballistics draws your holdover on.

Vortex EBR-4 MRAD — first focal plane, MRAD subtensions

Framed to about 12 MRAD — the part of the reticle you aim with. This reticle carries marks out to 17 MRAD; the rest sits beyond the edge of this drawing.

Drawn from Vortex Optics’s published specification.

In the first focal plane the subtensions hold true at every magnification, so a hold is a hold wherever the zoom ring sits.

Subtensions

FFP; the sheet: 'subtensions measured in MRAD and remain constant at all magnifications'. Rebuilt 9 Oct 2026 from the per-scope sheet, which overrides the EBR-4 MRAD manual (M-00369) the old record came from - that record drew every line 0.08 thick where the sheet publishes .05 outside and .1 for the illuminated centre. Published: side bars from 10.2, bottom bar from 11, .5 thick, with a 1 mil tick across each; outer line .05; illuminated centre scales .1 thick; holdover bars 2 wide at whole mils and 1 at half mils; marks .5 / .3 / .2 long, .5 apart near centre and .2 on the outer scale. Drawn, not published (the other callouts land on one scale): converted exactly from the vector outlines - every mark and which side of the line it sits, the thinner crossing at centre, the gap between the red centre scales and the outer scales, the bar ticks and the numerals. The centre scales are illuminated (drawn red). Bars drawn to 17 mil. Previous record: verified.

How this one was checked

Verified 9 Oct 2026 against specs/vortex/VTX_PST-2105_EBR-4_MRAD_RS_I_RI_ST.pdf page 1 (re-downloaded from the source URL the same day, byte-identical). Scale 11.336 pt/mil fitted to the bars (.5 mil), centre (198.4255, 221.102); geometry converted exactly from the vector outlines. Every published callout is checked in tools/build_vortex_wave2.py and lands. Checklist walked: rows and extents, hash spacing, numerals, centre element and gap, post tips, which side of the line each mark sits (all centred unless the notes say otherwise), every callout.

Subtensions are published by the manufacturer and reproduced here for reference. Confirm your own dope on a range before you rely on any of it. Harson.ai is not affiliated with Vortex.
